Privacy notice
Not Only Me is a Chicago events site run by its owner. This notice explains what the site records and why. We do not sell personal information, and statistics are kept on our own systems, not sent to advertising or analytics companies.
When you visit
For every page you view we record the page, how long it was on screen, how far you scrolled and roughly where on the page you spent time, the buttons and links you click (by their label, never what you type), events you open, the site that sent you, and your device type, browser and country. A random ID kept in your browser lets us count returning visitors.
When you are signed in
We also record each sign-in and visit session: when it started and last had activity, your IP address, approximate location derived from it (city, region, country), your device, browser and operating system, and the pages and clicks above linked to your account. We use this to keep accounts secure, investigate misuse, and respond to legal requests.
Chats
Messages you send in chats are stored so the people in the conversation can read them. In chats, friends can see when you've seen their messages; in larger groups, other members see only a count. Hide my activity turns this off. The site owner can review chats when needed for safety reports, terms-of-use violations, or legal and law-enforcement requests. Each review needs a separate password and a stated reason, and is itself recorded with who reviewed, when, from where, and what was viewed.
Tickets
Ticket orders, their amounts and status are kept for accounting, tax and legal records.
How long we keep records
Account activity, chat review records and ticket records are kept while needed for these purposes and for legal record-keeping.
